FNE at the Slovak Film Week: Seven Ravens

    BRATISLAVA: Seven Ravens by Alice Nellis will screen at the Slovak Film Week, a showcase for domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy from 11 to 17 April 2016.

    Seven Ravens/Sedem Zhavranelých Bratov is based on a classic fairy tale by Pavol Dobšinský and tells the story of seven enchanted brothers and their youngest sister, who can turn the ravens back into humans by a self-sacrificing act.

    The film is a Slovak/Czech coproduction and it was produced by Slovakia’s et cetera group and Honys Motion from the Czech Republic in coproduction with Slovakia‘s Attack Film and Rozhlas a Televízia Slovenska. The Slovak Audiovisual Fund and Eurimages supported the project.

    The film was released in Slovakia by Magic Box on 28 May 2015 and after the first week was in the Slovak Top Ten with 32,940 admissions. Bohemia MP released it in the Czech Republic in June 2015. The television premiere was on 25 December 2015 with a total of 677,000 viewers.

    Seven Ravens will also screen in the Finale Plzen Film Festival (15 -21 April 2016).
