FESTIVALS: Slovakia Sends Four Animated Films to Annecy

BRATISLAVA: Slovakia will be out in force at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and MIFA, sending an eight-person delegation, including five producers among the attendees.

Two shorts will be screened in the official programme: The Kite, a Czech/Slovak/Polish coproduction directed by Martin Smatana, and Poetika Anima directed by Kriss Sagan.

The Czech/French/Polish/Slovak feature Even Mice Belong in Heaven by Denisa Grimmová and Jan Bubeníček will be presented at the MIFA Works in Progress. The Czech/French/Slovak feature My Sunny Maad directed by Michaela Pavlátová will be presented at Gap Financing Meet the Producers.
