The main character of the film is Rok Osterberg, played by Primož Vrhovec, who returns home after a four-year absence. He is determined to investigate the murder of his younger brother Maks who was involved in criminal business. The only person willing to help him is a family friend, Inspector Kramer.

The story written by Zoran Benčič and Matej Nahtigal is based on the book Psi brezčasja by the Slovenian writer Zoran Bencic. Case: Osterberg is the first feature film produced by Živa Čonkaš  through Lignit Film. MC Velenje, Studio Viba Film and RTV Slovenija are coproducing. “The budget was 280,000 EUR and it took three years and lot of personal involvement to complete it“,Tomi Matic, the executive producer told FNE.

Matej Nahtigal studied Graphic Design and Media at University of Ljubljana and Photography at Sarajevo University.
