Three friends, Zoki, Bruno and Leon, are dreaming about performing in concerts as a hip-hop group. They are so dedicated to their goal that it looks like nothing could stop them. Until one evening when Bruno falls in love with a beautiful violinist, Nina.
The film is produced by Frank Celarc through Gustav Film in coproduction with RTV Slovenija, MB Grip, Studio Ritem and Pakt Media. The film with had a budget of 530,000 EUR and was also co-funded by the Slovenian Film Center in the amount of 20,000 EUR.
Beat of Love had its world premiere in August 2015 at Sarajevo Film Festival. A domestic theatrical release in planned for 15 October 2015.
Boris Petkovičis known for his earlier internationally recognized documentaries such as In the Year of Hip-Hop (Katapult-Luxus Production, 2010). He returned to Slovenia in 2008 after studying film direction at EICAR in Paris.
