Adana Golden Boll FF: Loser's Club

    Loser's Club, which was released on 25 March 2011 in Turkey, was the seventh spot most popular Turkish film in 2011. Attendance reached nearly 500,000, with 4.5 million Turkish Liras in box office. The films competes in the Turkish national competition of the Adana Golden Bull Film Festival (17-25 September 2011, www.goldenbollfilmfestival.com).

    {mosimage}The film was shot by HD. Its soundtrack and a book of the screenplay was in markets before the release, an unusual situation for a Turkish film.

    Loser's Club is the real story of a radio program (similar to Howard Stern). It tells the stories of DJs, Kaan and Mete who were both loved and hated because of their language filled with swear words and references to sex.

    Nejat Isle, a noted actor and Ahu Turkpence, an acclaimed Turkish TV series actresses, play the main roles of the film. The film is the second narrative film from Tolga Ornek whose previous films include Cars of Revolution and the long documentaries awarded internationally Hitities and Gallipoli.

    {mosimage}The production is co-produced by Ekip Film (www.ekipfilm.com) which is Ornek's 13-year old production company and Tiglon (www.tiglon.com.tr) which is one of the major distributors in Turkey.
