FNE at Adana Golden Boll Film Festival 2010 National Competition: The Voice

    The Voice, about a girl who hears voices inside her head, is one of the several Turkish parapsychological horror films. The script was written by noted film critic Uygar Sirin and directed by acclaimed arthouse filmmaker Umit Unal who is also known as the scriptwriter of Istanbul Tales.

    The film was released on 5 March, 2010, in Turkey. Although it was an acclaimed project, the box office income was only 430,000 Turkish Liras.

    The cast includes film regulars Mehmet Gunsur and Selma Ergec.

    The film is the co-production of independent companies Bir Film (www.birfilm.com) and Mars Production (www.marsfilm.net). The budget was one million Turkish Liras. The Voice is the first Turkish movie to have a social media compaign on twitter.
