It is our pleasure to inform you that Rory Buckley has joined the SPI team in London as SALES DIRECTOR and will be responsible for all TV sales in Central and Eastern Europe.
For the last 7 years Buckley has been working for Disney, where he started as Sales Executive in charge of the territories in Central & Eastern Europe and moved on taking more responsibilities through Senior Sales Executive to finally Senior Sales Manager in the Central & Eastern European team.
He was in charge of the budget in Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Albania. During his time at Disney he looked after every territory in the CEE region (excluding Poland), including Russia and the Ukraine.
His responsibilities included planning, strategising, budgeting and forecast as well as negotiating deals, inter Disney line of business relationships and client management. He was responsible for all TV sales, which included Vod/PPV/Mobile, Pay, Free, Cable and Format sales.
Buckley has obtained a Marketing Degree from the Cape Technicon in Cape Town, South Africa.
As Buckley stated “I am thrilled to take on this post with its various opportunities and challenges. It will be exciting to lead the expansion of SPI’s commercial activities across Central and Eastern Europe”.
