The film MERMAN, directed by Ana Lungu, will have its world premiere at the FID Marseille Festival

The documentary has been selected for the International Competition at the 35th edition of the FID Marseille Festival, which will take place from June 25 to 30, 2024

TRITON is a montage film based exclusively on archival materials, featuring rare amateur footage filmed between World War II and the 1989 Revolution. Three stories, treated in stylistically different ways—a father filming his daughter's childhood in 1980s Romania; a music teacher documenting the lives of family members and friends in the 1960s-1970s; and an aristocrat capturing images from the summer of 1942, when our country was allied with Nazi Germany—are tied together by a female narrative voice.

TRITON is co-written with director Dane Komljen, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and based in Berlin, who also handles the film's editing. Producers are Adrian Sitaru and Ana Lungu.

The film is made with the support of the CNC and produced by 4PROOF Film in co-production with Microscop Film.
