Dates
The event will be centred around World Animation Day (28 October), organised by ASIFA (International Animated Film Association), and will take place from 11 to 31 October 2025, the dates of the Fête du Cinéma d'Animation in France, run by AFCA (French Animation Film Association).
Programme
MyFrenchAnimationDays consists of three highlights for all ages and at the general public.
1 - Discovery workshops in schools
For schools, divided into three levels: nursery school, elementary school (ages 6-8 and ages 9-10), to enable them to learn while having fun, explore while stimulating their curiosity, and develop their own imagination.
Each teacher/class will receive an educational kit designed by Unifrance in collaboration with a teacher, including:
- One episode of each series for screening in class
- Educational videos explaining the behind-the-scenes of these series
- Educational worksheets to guide teachers and a competition
The three series offered for this second edition are as follows:
- Alice & Lewis (Blue Spirit)
- Barbapapa: One Big Happy Family! (FESTIVAAL Distribution)
- Belfort & Lupin (Mediatoon Distribution)
2 - Online talk
For all audiences, especially students and professionals.
A discussion in French, moderated by Daniela Elstner, Managing Director of Unifrance, will be streamed live online on October 16, 2025 at 10am (UTC+2).
"French Animation: How to Create,
Expand, and Develop in France and Abroad"
Jean-François Tosti, co-founder of TAT productions, will reflect on 25 years of building one of France’s leading animation companies. He has produced films and series including Les As de la Jungle, Terra Willy, Pil, Argonuts and Pets on a Train.
Grégoire Melin, CEO of Kinology, has handled international sales for films such as Argonuts and Falcon Express. He will share his perspective on how French animation travels the world through distribution and sales.
Together, they will discuss the path from local creation to global recognition, and how French animation can grow both in France and abroad.

3 - Special Screenings
Physical screenings in cinemas internationally will be organised from 11 October until the end of 2025, for all audiences, by local distributors in several European countries as well as by several French Institutes.
