On Monday, 2 March 2015, the fourth edition of East Doc Platform, the biggest documentary event of its kind in the Central and Eastern Europe, begins in Prague. This event is traditionally organized by the Institute of Documentary Film, supporting documentary film in the CEE region in all stages of development, in association with One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.

ZAGREB: With approximately 150 films in 16 programme sections, the documentary film festival Zagrebdox is now entering its second decade. Zagrebdox will take place from 22 February to 1 March at Zagreb’s Cineplexx Kapitol Centre. Two Polish films, one a coproduction with Denmark, and two Latvian films feature in the international competition.
KARLOVY VARY: European Film Promotion is launching a new programme at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival called Future Frames: Ten New Filmmakers To Follow. The focus will be launched in July 2015.
On February 11, 2015, two Romanian films included in the official selection at the Berlin Film Festival will have their gala premieres: Aferim!, directed by Radu Jude, will be screened in the Competition, and Why Me?, by Tudor Giurgiu, in Panorama Special. The same day, the teams of the two films will meet the journalists in press conferences and will walk the red carpet of the 65th edition of the festival.
Berlin, Monday 9th February 2015: European Film Promotion (EFP) and its supporters were thrilled to lead their EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS 2015 into the spotlight this evening, as all ten young actors walked the red carpet at the prestigious Berlinale Palast.
The Norwegian-Czech co-production The Christmas King – In Full Armour is shooting at Barrandov Studios. The creators, led by director Thale Persen, have based their story on the successful Norwegian series of the same name that was broadcast in 2012. One of the things that attracted the producers to the Czech Republic is the film incentive system. In addition to offering other services, Barrandov Studios also assists with cash flow during film shoot in the country.
