The Filmmakers Behind Terminator, James Bond and a Sundance Winner to Visit Bratislava for the 13th Edition of Visegrad Film Forum

Visegrad Film Forum will offer audiences a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of films by Steven Spielberg or Ridley Scott, and to meet a filmmaker who won the Directing Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
ZAGREB: Budapest head-quartered Paprika Studios has opened a new office in Croatia’s capital city, which is adding to its presence in Bulgaria, Estonia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
ZAGREB: Glavonja by Marina Andree Škop recorded fourth best opening for a domestic children's feature film ever in Croatia with 12,844 admissions. The film is a joint effort of several FNE partner countries: Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Latvia, and Serbia.
PODGORICA: Projects from Montenegro, Italy, and Albania can apply till 20 April 2026 to the first edition of a fund for co-financing the development of South Adriatic film projects.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Filmmakers from Romania, Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, Greece, and Turkey can submit their projects to the 13th edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop (TPS) till 23 March 2026.
PODGORICA: The Tower of Strength / Obraz by Nikola Vukcević recorded over 10,000 admissions in Montenegro during its first ten days in cinemas. A coproduction between Montenegro, Serbia, Germany and Croatia, The Tower of Strength was Montenegro’s candidate for the 98th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the Best International Feature Film category.
TBILISI: An important retrospective Georgian Silent Cinema – Mirror of a Nation is underway in Paris at the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux–Pathé. The event is organised under the ‘carte blanche’ granted by the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé to the Georgian National Film Center and the National Archives of Georgia.
Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12 - 21, 2026) opens the registratior for Transilvania Pitch Stop (TPS), the largest platform dedicated to the film industry at TIFF. Starting today, filmmakers from Romania, Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey and Georgia can submit their projects to the 13th edition of the international co-production program. Applications can be submitted online until March 23nd, 2026, through the eventival platform.
The National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) gave production support to 16 domestic features, documentaries and animated films from 1 April 2025 through 20 January 2026.
TALLINN: Checkered Ninja 3, the third instalment in the hit franchise created by Danish comedian and actor Anders Matthesen, has been sold by LevelK to several territories so far, including Latin America, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as France, and Spain.
