BEAST International Film Festival is back with its 4th edition and a rich Polish participation

Since 2017, BEAST International Film Festival has been proving itself and to the public as an event that shines an important light on the East European cinema landscape. While exploring the Balkans, Baltics, or Post-Communism, BEAST IFF has opened a cultural umbrella covering 21 countries, with a unique focus on diversity bringing new works and talents that represent the latest faces of the New East in cinema.

In the framework of the 19th Cyprus Film Days International Festival 2021
and in partnership with Thessaloniki International Film Festival Agora
The 2nd edition of Dot on the Μap Industry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform within Cyprus Film Days IFF will be held online between 21-23 April 2021, and launches the application process for accreditations intended for film professionals.
Dot on the Map Industry Days is organised by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth and the Rialto Theatre in partnership with Thessaloniki International Film Festival Agora. It is supported by the Directors Guild of Cyprus.
The 28thedition of the Sibiu International Film Festival will take place in two stages: 27 August –12 September (online & open air) and 11 – 16 October (Astra Film Junior)
A new edition of the most important documentary film festival in Central and Eastern Europe, Astra Film Festival, is being organized in Sibiu to take place this fall. Until April 15th directors and producers of documentaries from around the world are invited to submit their films produced in 2020 and 2021.

It is with great regret that the organisers of goEast – Festival of Central and Eastern European Film must concede that the current outlook for the cultural sector in April does not, once again, offer the possibility to present a live festival, with in-person screenings and personal encounters between festival attendees. However, cancellation is out of the question for goEast! The Wiesbaden-based festival, hosted by DFF – DeutschesFilminstitut & Filmmuseum, has assembled an extensive online and on-demand programme to continue to serve our fans and supporters. During the festival period from 20 to 26 April 2021, nearly all of the festival films will be available in Germany on demand, via the festival website. To make this possible, the festival is co-operating with the VoD service provider filmwertefor the first time. Accredited guests will receive free access to the film offers. Georgia 26-03-2021BRUSSELS: FNE spoke to Tamara Tatishvili - Regional Coordinator and Mentor about the 2021 edition of the SOFA (School of Film Advancement) Tbilisi Workshop 2021. She talks about the lessons learned over the past year of lockdown as the second session goes digital after the event was forced by the pandemic to move online a year ago. We also hear about how this year’s edition has a distinctly Georgian flavour that even includes a Georgian cooking lesson. SOFA is holding its annual Tbilisi session digitally from 22 to 26 March 2021.

BUDAPEST: HBO Europe has begun filming the eight-part, 40-minute Hungarian dramatic series The Informant, written by Bálint Szentgyörgyi, who also directs alongside Áron Mátyássy and Bence Miklauzic. The series is now in production in Budapest.
