PRAGUE: One World International Human Rights Film Festival has announced the programme of its 26th edition, which will be held from 20 March to 21 April 2024 in 48 cities throughout the Czech Republic. In Prague, the festival will take place from 20 to 28 March 2024.
Film directors and scriptwriters from Baltic countries are invited to submit short film scripts to the script development program "Baltic Shorts Residency", organized by the Lithuanian Short Film Agency "Lithuanian Shorts". After a successful five-year span, the Residency has emerged as a pivotal programme in the Baltic region for refining and elevating script quality to resonate on an international scale.

SOFIA: Twelve titles including films produced in Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Romania have been selected for the International Competition of the 28th Sofia International Film Festival, which will be held 13 – 31 March 2024.
WARSAW: Projects in various stages of development and production are invited to apply for the 8th Young Horizons Industry, the international co-production forum for films and series for young audiences, till 19 April 2024. The forum will be held in Warsaw and online 30 September – 2 October 2024.
RIGA: Approximately 30 documentaries will be screened in the competition programmes Baltic Focus and Artdocfest Open at the 4th International Documentary Film Festival Artdocfest/Riga (1 - 8 March 2024).
BELGRADE: Siniša Cvetić’s sophomore feature Lilacs / Jorgovani had its national premiere in the Main Competition of Belgrade’s 52nd FEST ahead of its cinema release across Serbia and the region starting 29 February 2024.
BUDAPEST: The National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) has declared 2024 as a commemorative year to celebrate 110 years of Hungarian animation and will organise several events throughout the year.

Slovakia 28-02-2024BRATISLAVA: Katarína Gramatová’s debut feature Promise, I'll Be Fine is scheduled to be finished in the late spring of 2024. The film was developed by Gramatová and Slovak producer Igor Engler from DRYEYE Film and it is a Slovak/Czech coproduction.
