SPLIT: The short fiction film project Alone / Sama by Filip Dizdar was awarded at the Pitching Forum organised within the Mediterranean Film Festival Split (FMFS), taking place 16-25 June 2022.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has distributed 2.1 m EUR / 15.9 m HRK for the production of one feature film, four debut features, five long and three short documentaries, as well as six animated films. The announcement was made on 15 June 2022.

PULA: A total of 11 international titles, out of which six are Croatian minority coproductions, will be competing for Golden Arenas at the 69th Pula Film Festival international competition. This year the Pula Film Festival will be held 16 - 24 July 2022.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has distributed 583,700 EUR / 4.39 m HRK as minority coproduction, experimental and short film production grants. Eight minority coproductions received 317,200 EUR / 2.4 m HRK. The grants were announced on 14 June 2022.

ZAGREB: The debut feature Murina by Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović will be theatrically released by Kino Lorber in the United States on 8 July 2022. The film has had 50,133 admissions in 94 cinemas across France, where KBMO released it on 20 April 2022.

ZAGREB: Croatian audiovisual sector is expected to get over 665,500 EUR / 5 m HRK from international streaming platforms through the Croatian Electronic Media Act, which came into effect in October 2021, Croatian Audiovisual Centre representatives told FNE.

ZAGREB: The Grand Prix of the World Festival of Animated Film - Animafest Zagreb 2022 (6-11 June 2022) went to the Czech/French/Slovak coproduction My Sunny Maad by Michaela Pavlátová.

SPLIT: The 15th Mediterranean Film Festival Split (FMFS) will start on 16 June 2022 in the open-air cinema Bačvice with the world premiere of Kick and Scream, the debut feature by Nina Violić. A total of 72 films from 30 countries will be screened in the Zlatna Vrata cinema, at the Youth centre and for the first time at Gripe fort.

ZAGREB: Ten new Croatian films will compete for Golden Arena awards at the 69th Pula Film Festival (16 -24 July 2022). Pula FF is the central national festival, showcasing the best of the year’s production and serving as the main summer gathering spot for Croatian film professionals.

ZAGREB: The World Festival of Animated Film - Animafest Zagreb 2022 will take place in Croatia from 6 to 11 June 2022. Animafest is widely considered to be the second oldest festival in the world dedicated entirely to animation, and it celebrates its 50th birthday this year.
