BUDAPEST: Hungary’s Megafilm Service is set to begin principal photography on its upcoming romantic comedy One More Wish / Még egy kívánság in the autumn of 2025. The film will be directed by Kata Dobó and co-directed by Fanni Szilágyi.

BUDAPEST: One of the most anticipated events for the Hungarian film industry in 2025 is the upcoming release of Rise of the Raven / Hunyadi. The country’s first big-budget TV show produced in international cooperation led the lineup of Beta Film at MIPCOM 2024, where it premiered, and is set to debut nationwide on TV2 in March 2025. To feed the suspense, the producers haven't disclosed the exact date of the premiere yet.
BUDAPEST: The 44th edition of the Hungarian Film Review will be held at the Corvin Cinema in Budapest from 3 to 9 February 2025 after a 13-year hiatus. The Competition Programme includes 25 feature films, while 127 works will screen in seven competition categories, including short fiction films, experimental films, long documentaries, short documentaries, animated films, short animated films and TV series.
BUDAPEST: As Hungary has extended its successful film production incentive for a further six years, international productions are expected to continue to shoot in the „continental Europe’s biggest production hub”, as stated by Csaba Káel, government commissioner for the development of the Hungarian film industry.
