WARSAW: Renowned Polish director Agnieszka Holland is preparing to shoot Game Count, a Polish/Czech/German coproduction, in June. The premiere is planned for the begining of 2017.

WARSAW: In its first session in 2015, Polish Film Institute allotted 2,806,213 EUR / 11,675,000 PLN for the production of six news features, including three international coproductions.

WARSAW: Nominations for the 17th edition of the Polish Film Awards – The Eagles were announced on 5 February 2015 in Warsaw. Polish box office hits of 2014, Gods and Jack Strong, got the most nods.

LODZ: British film company Small Screen took over one of the oldest Polish animation studios Se-Ma-For, due to its financial problems. Se-Ma-For has been active since 1947, with more than 1400 movies produced.

WARSAW: Shooting has started for Filip Bajon's new version of the classic Polish comedy Mrs. Dulska's Morality. The premiere is planned for October 2015.

WARSAW: With over 40 million tickets sold in 2014 Poland surpassed the results from 2013 by over 4 million. Three Polish titles topped the 2014 chart.
