WARSAW: Here is the full list of the CEE countries' candidates for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The Academy Awards nominations will be announced on 13 January 2020 and the ceremony will be held on 9 February 2020.

PODGORICA: Neverending Past / Između dana i noći directed by Andro Martinović has been selected as Montenegro’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The film is a Montenegrin/Serbian coproduction.

RIGA: The historic drama The Mover / Tēvs nakts directed by Dāvis Sīmanis has been selected as Latvia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

PRAGUE: The Painted Bird directed by Václav Marhoul has been selected as Czech Republic’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

WARSAW: Jan Komasa’s costume drama Corpus Christi has been selected as Poland’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

BRATISLAVA: Marko Škop's second feature film Let There Be Light / Nech je svetlo has been selected as Slovakia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The film is a Slovak/Czech coproduction from Artileria and Negativ.

VILNIUS: The documentary Bridges of Time / Laiko tiltai by Kristine Briede and Audrius Stonys has been selected as Lithuania’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

BELGRADE: Petar Ristovski’s historical drama King Petar / Kralj Petar Prvi has been selected as Serbia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The film is a Serbian/Greek coproduction.

SOFIA: Milko Lazarov’s sophomore feature Ága has been selected as Bulgaria’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. This Bulgarian/German/French coproduction had its world premiere out of competition at the 68th Berlinale IFF and it was awarded Best Film both at the 36th Fajr IFF and the 24th Sarajevo FF.

SARAJEVO: The Son by Ines Tanović has been selected by the Association of Filmmakers of Bosnia and Herzegovina as the country’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The film is a coproduction between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania, Montenegro and Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA: Sonja Prosenc’s sophomore film History of Love / Zgodovina ljubezni has been selected as Slovenia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The film is a Slovenian/Norwegian/Italian coproduction.

ZAGREB: Mali by Antonio Nuić has been selected as Croatia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

SKOPJE: Honeyland / Medena zemja by Ljubomir Stefanov and Tamara Kotevska has been selected as North Macedonia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The Oscar nominations will be announced on 13 January 2019 and the ceremony will be held on 9 February 2020.

BUCHAREST:  The Whistlers / La Gomera by Corneliu Porumboiu has been selected as Romania’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. This Romanian/French/German coproduction had its world premiere in the Competition of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

TALLINN: A committee led by the Estonian Film Institute has selected Truth and Justice by Tanel Toom as Estonia’s candidate for the 92nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ award in the best international feature film category. The Estonian/Latvian coproduction Immortal by Ksenia Okhapkina won the Grand Prix for Best Documentary at the Karlovy Vary IFF and thus received the right to be submitted for consideration for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

TBILISI: Dito Tsintsadze's Shindisi has been selected as Georgia’s entry for the 92^nd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ award in the best international feature film category.
