Sought-after and contested: the LUBINA In the feature film competition, ten current productions from Eastern Europe are set to compete for the main prize endowed with 20,000 euros as well as for the LUBINA glass award sculpture. An international jury will decide upon the prize-winners. The short film competition offers a platform for discovering and promoting young film talents, while the contributions to the U18 competition, the German-Polish competition of films for young people, present the life of youths in Germany and its neighbouring country. In addition, the best debut and amateur films, among others, will be given awards, and the distribution of a festival film in Germany will be supported. The 22nd FilmFestival Cottbus will award 20 prizes totalling 73,500 euros in value.
