Fongopolis(SK 2014) and Snow (SK/FR 2013) compete in the International Competition of Short Films, and further 10 Slovak shorts compete witin the Competition of Slovak Films.

22nd ART FILM FEST IFF (June 20 – 27, 2014) / Trencianske Teplice – Trencin, Slovakia

Several archive titles will be presented within the special section entitled War and Film: Signum Laudis (CS 1980, by Martin Holly), For Freedom (CS 1955, by Stanislav Barabas), The Bells Toll for the Barefooted (CS 1965, by Stanislav Barabas), Wolves’ Liars (CS 1945, by Palo Bielik) and Captain Dabac (CS 1959, by Palo Bielik) will be introduced, all digitally restored versions.

The traditional Slovak Season section will dedicate a significant space to all new releases, such as Slovakia 2.0 (SK 2014), Step into Darkness (SK 2014), First Slovak Horror (SK 2014), The Edge – 4 Films about Marek Brezovsky (SK 2014), All My Children (SK/CZ 2013), Felvidek – Caught in Between (SK/CZ 2014).

A tribute section to director Peter Solan will screen his masterpieces The Boxer and Death (1962), also ina digitally restored version.
