MyMetaStories World: Three Days of Immersive Experiences in Minecraft®
- Short film screenings: gamers will discover the selected short films as if they were at the movies, in specially designed virtual theatres for each film. They will go to scheduled screenings to watch with other players and discuss the films in the game chat for an authentic live group experience of going to the movies … online!
- Exclusive mini games: at the end of every short film screening, gamers will be offering play fun and challenging mini games inspired by the look and plot of the film. The players will explore these mini games, and they will be invited to look out for veiled references to the other films in the selection!
- Quest: gamers will set out on a voyage to six themed islands, retracing all the steps of filmmaking – from scriptwriting to promotion. This adventure offers a journey through the history of European cinema while providing an engaging gaming experience between screenings.
- The series Samuel* is coming to MyMetaStories: for this exceptional event, the four first episodes of Samuel – created by Émilie Tronche, produced by Les Valseurs, and coproduced by Arte France, Pictanovo, Pikkukala, RTVE, 3cat, and Solent Production – will be screened in a special movie theatre inspired by the series. A unique experience: an exclusive mini-game based on the episode “The Pool”, featuring Samuel as an NPC in the game, along with pixel art virtual goodies inspired by the series (available in a limited edition during the festival) will be offered to players!
- A Magnificent Life: gamers will discover the official trailer for the animated feature film A Magnificent Life by Sylvain Chomet in a special theatre decorated on the theme of the film. ®. A mini-game inspired by the film’s universe will extend this unprecedented experience, accompanied by a pixel art poster displayed throughout MyMetaStories World. Minecraft® thus becomes a platform for film promotion, encouraging players to go to theaters—a bold attempt to break down the boundaries between cinema and video games.
- MyMetaStories Audience Award: after screenings, gamers will vote for their favourite short film. The film with the most votes will receive the MyMetaStories Audience Award.
- Live Influencers: throughout the whole opening weekend, a crew of content creators will get their game on to make sure MyMetaStories makes a big debut all around the world. On Twitch, gaming stars like Aypierre (FR), Shadoune666 (ES), Tubbo (UK), and Conterstine (MX) will go live to explore MyMetaStories with their audience.
- Movie influencers are also coming to the festival to unveil some real nuggets. On their TikTok, Instagram, or X accounts, they’ll take players behind the scenes with great recommendations and awesome discoveries. A shout-out to Club Cinéma for bringing a 360° experience with
