FESTIVALS: Varna Golden Rose Opens

    VARNA, BULGARIA: Twelve Bulgarian films are competing in the Varna Golden Rose national film festival, which opens 7 October and runs through 13 October in the Black Sea coastal resort city.

    The films range from festival favorites and award-winners such as Island and Sneakers to new media internet film Love.net. The festival programme also includes three coproductions and a short film competition. FNE will profile the Bulgarian competition films at the festival.
