GRANTS: Bulgaria Announces Feature Film Grants

    SOFIA: During its December session the Bulgarian National Film Center decided to support the production of six feature films and five shorts. Furthermore, seven projects will receive funding for development. The total amount of the support is 2.557m EUR.

    The 2015 budget of the National Film Center was 6.75 m EUR.

    The feature films include long awaited Pavel Vesnakov’s The Catcher in the Dust produced by Muvimento and Javor Gardev’s Sings (The Soul of the Violin), produced by RFF International. Anri Kulev, who became famous will his long length animated film Puk will direct the historical saga Once Upon a War, produced by Kulev Film Producion. Ivan Pavlov will shoot The Spring Equinox, produced by Art 47 and Svetoslav Draganov’s next film will be Director of the Waterfall, produced by Cineaste Moudi Production. The only supported feature film debut is Boris Nikolov’s Norma and a Swan, produced by Solent Film.
