source: www.zagreb.hrZAGREB: The iconic Kino Europa in Zagreb, which ceased all activities in 2019, has entered a complex construction, conservation, restoration and modernisation project.
The 11.6 m EUR investment, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the City of Zagreb, includes a new multimedia system and lighting, interior refurbishment, VR sets to screen virtual reality films, as well as the development of a digital platform featuring its own streaming service (which will be accessible throughout Croatia), according to Croatia Week.
The project is planned to wrap at the end of 2027.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
