Fair Play Tops Nominations for Czech Lions

    PRAGUE: Andrea Sedláčkova’s Fair Play received 15 nominations for the 22nd Czech Lions awards. The ceremony will take place in Prague on 21 February.

    Seventeen titles out of 55 films released in cinemas in 2014 have been nominated for the national film prizes awarded by the 123 members of the Czech Film and Television Academy.

    Fair Play, a film about doping in sports in the Socialist era, is followed by Miroslav Krobot’s debut feature Nowhere in Moravia with 13 nominations, asocial drama The Way Out by Petr Vaclav and a fairy tale The Three Brothers by Jan Svěrák, both with 10 nominations.
