PRAGUE: Czech director/actor Miroslav Krobot is currently shooting his second feature film, Quartet / Kvarteto. The film stars popular Czech actors such as Jiří Schmitzer and Barbora Poláková.

The script written by Lubomír Smékal follows four musicians and their band. The members of this somewhat incoherent quaternity headed by the introverted musician Robert are his attractive and confused girlfriend and cellist Simona, the young and lively Tomáš and the older history connoisseur Funès. They experience together a series of comic situations as well as misunderstandings.

Cast includes Jaroslav Plesl and Jana Štěpánková. Ondřej Zíma is producing through Evolution Films, the same as he did for Krobot’s debut feature, Nowhere in Moravia / Díra u Hanušovic. Czech Television is coproducing.

The budget of 814,000 EUR is partially covered by the State Cinematography Fund. Shooting started in the city of Olomouc on 25 July 2016 and will continue both in interiors and exteriors until 28 August 2016.
