FESTIVALS: On Site Anifilm 2021 Kicks Off Today

    LIBEREC: The 2021 edition of Anifilm – International Festival of Animated Films starts in physical form today in Liberec, Czech Republic. Ten feature films will compete in the International Competition of Long Animated Films.

    Even Mice Belong In Heaven by Denisa Grimmova and Jan Bucenicek, a coproduction between the Czech Republic, Poland, France and Slovakia, which had its world premiere at the 60th Annecy International Animated Film Festival, is among the long animated films in competition.

    A total of 38 titles have been selected for the International Short Animated Films Competition and 32 for the International Student Films Competition. The festival is also organising international competitions for music videos, abstract and non-narrative animated films and VR films.

    The festival wraps on 27 June 2021. It is organised by Citizens’ Association for the Support of Animated Film (Občanské sdružení pro podporu animovaného filmu z.s.) / OSPAF.
