RIGA: The National Film Centre of Latvia has distributed 1,411,871 EUR for annual production grants. The list includes five feature films, six documentaries and five animated films (two long films, one series for kids and two short films).
Among the supported projects there are titles by awarded directors, Laila Pakalniņa, Signe Baumane, Linda Olte, Ilze Burkovska-Jakobsena, featuring a strong support for women filmmakers.
The studio with the most supported projects (three) is Trickster Pictures.
The grants were announced on 31 May 2023.

The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
