credit: Malta Film CommissionVALLETTA: Malta and Gozo registered a total of 10,882 admissions for domestic films, mostly short films, compared to 8,279 admissions in 2024 and 4,884 admissions in 2023.
Total admissions were 513,276 compared to 555,858 in 2024.
Domestic films cashed in 75,654 EUR in 280 screenings, while the gross box office was 4,133,600 EUR in 29,927 screenings, according to the National Statistics Office (NSO).
A total of 385 films were screened throughout the year.
Six multiplexes (including two in Gozo) with a total of 23 screens and 3,872 seats have operated in 2025.
