CentEast Market draws 200 film professionals

By

Some 200 film professionals are expected to attend the third CentEast Market, a specialised market for films from Central and Eastern Europe to be held during the 22nd Warsaw International Film Festival.

The market is the meeting point of film business professionals: producers, sales agents, distributors, TV buyers, festival programmers, and representatives of film funding bodies, involved and/or interested in films from Central and Eastern Europe. It will be open Oct. 17-21.

The programme includes screenings of completed films and those still in production, presentations of film projects and panel discussions.

The market is designed as a vehicle to promote Polish cinema to a foreign audience.
Among other programmes to accompany the Warsaw International Film Festival are classes for young journalists, held under the patronage of FIPRESCI (The International Federation of Film Critics), and film editing workshops organized by the Polish Association of Film Editors.
