FESTIVALS: 15th goEast Ready to Kick Off

    WIESBADEN: The 15th edition of goEast - Festival of Central and Eastern European Film starts on 22 April 2015 and will present more than 100 films from 30 countries, including 21 German and five international premieres.

    The festival hosted by Deutsches Filminstitut will showcase a selection of the best current and historical productions from Central and Eastern Europe. Małgorzata Szumowska’s Body is the opening film.

    This year, goEast will award prizes totaling 30,000 EUR. The International Jury is composed of: Pavel Strnad (chairman) Ines Tanovic, Marian Crisan, Anja Antonowicz and Bernd Buder.

    One of the highlights of this year's festival is the launch of a pilot project named Young Filmmakers for Peace, organized together with the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The festival will run until 28 April 2015.
