DTH service shows promise in three Central European states

    The Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia are listed among 10 countries around the globe that show the most promise in developing direct-to-home satellite services, according to a new survey. The report by the international market research firm NSR concludes the 10 countries will yield total revenues of $62.9 billion (€39.8 billion) over the next eight years.

    The other countries covered in the analysis are Brazil, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam. Estimated revenue for 2008 of the DTH markets in these countries is $4.3 billion.
