FESTIVALS: Butterflies Wins 2018 Bucharest IFF

    BUCHAREST: Butterflies by Tolga Karacelik was awarded Grand Prix at the 2018 Bucharest International Film Festival. For the first time, the festival organised an international competition for short films.

    The programme included a Focus on Israel (with the participation of the Israeli director Eran Riklis) and a celebration of 100 years of Romanian modern state with special screenings, conferences, debates and a film posters' exhibition.

    The festival took place from 11 to 17 June 2018. It was organised by the Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB together with Fundația Charta, and it was supported by the Romanian Film Centre, the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Romanian Filmmakers Union.
