Projects Selected for 10th Pustnik International Screenwriting Residency in Romania Announced

By

BUCHAREST: Eight projects have been chosen from among 93 submissions from 39 countries for the 10th anniversary edition of Pustnik International Screenwriting Residency, which will return to Port Cultural Cetate, on the Danube bank, from 17 to 24 September 2024.

The residents will work on their debut feature-length screenplays while getting insight and guidance from established screenwriters, who can provide feedback on their projects.

The selected projects were picked by Pustnik co-founders and writer/directors Andreea Borțun (Romania) and Bryn Chainey (UK/Australia).

This year, Pustnik is continuing its partnership with the European Short Pitch short script development programme by offering a place in the residence to a recent ESP alumni with whom it shares a similar vision.

Pustnik International Screenwriting Residency is organised by the NGO TETA Association, and it is co-founded by the Romanian Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN), the Ministry of Culture of Romania, the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN) and l’Institut Français de Roumanie.

Further details about the writers and their projects, the guests and other Pustnik initiatives will be available on www.pustnik.com closer to the residency dates.
