Slovak/Czech Doc Scores High in Cinemas

    PRAGUE: Miro Drobný’s new documentary Rytmus, the Urban Dream /Rytmus, sídliskový sen had 15,000 admissions in Czech cinemas and ended in the second position last weekend, after the American comedy Pixels with an attendance of 16,000.

    The Slovak/Czech documentary portraits the Roma rapper Rytmus, who grew up in a Slovak non-Romani family and eventually became a celebrity selling tens of thousands of albums, sitting in the jury of the Czech&Slovak Idol show and having over 100 million viewers on the internet.

    The film was also produced by Miro Drobný through Európsky Institut in coproduction with Romeofilms. FALCON is distributing.
