The Circle will make its world premiere at the Golden Boll Film Festival in the Turkish National Competition.

The shooting of the film started August 2011 and lasted almost eight months in the village of Hasanpasa which is situated in Burdur, a Mediterranean city.

The leading roles are played by non-professional actors, with the shepherds and village people in the film playing themselves.

The movie takes place during a shepherding contest in the village.

The film was chosen to participate in the Istanbul Film Festival’s Meetings on the Bridge Work in Progress section in 2011. It is supported by KKTC (Northern Cyprus) and produced by Zaim’s own company Marathon Film.
