Georgia 19-07-2023BATUMI: Batumi International Art house Film Festival's director Giorgi Gogiberidze needs support to fight cancer. A new stage of treatment, which is due to start in September 2023, costs 85,000 USD and it cannot be financed by existing state programmes in Georgia.
BELGRADE: Serbian producer Tea Korolija passed away at the age of 49, after a long battle with an illness. She produced the megahit Besa through the Serbian production company Adrenalin.
BUCHAREST: The TV miniseries The Gray House directed by Roland Joffe, produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, and starring Marie Louise Parker and Christopher McDonald has stopped midway shooting at the Castel Film Studios in Romania due to the strike of Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG - AFTRA). Filming halted on 15 July 2023 for one week-time.
The Lithuanian Film Centre has announced the following minority coproduction grants on 14 July 2023.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Scriptwriters from all EU member countries can apply for the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project dedicated to film professionals specialising in genre TV series: thriller, horror and fantasy. The deadline for te programme initiated by Romanian Film Promotion and the Transilvania IFF is 15 September 2023.
The seven work-in-progress films of the 11th edition of Final Cut in Venice (September 3rd – September 5th) have been selected.
Call for projects now open: Full Moon Creative Lab for genre scriptwriters
Press releases 13-07-2023European scriptwriters can now apply for the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project dedicated to film professionals specialising in genre TV series: thriller, horror and fantasy. The program, initiated by Romanian Film Promotion and Transilvania IFF, consists of creative residencies taking place in Transylvania (Romania), during which up to 12 candidates will be mentored by accomplished international professionals. The selected participants will be guided in writers’ rooms.
The application deadline for the 11th edition of the Forum is next week - 20 July (Thursday).

WROCŁAW: New films by DK Welchman, Jan P. Matuszyński and Damian Kocur are among the projects selected for Polish Days 2023. The biggest industry event in Poland will be held in Wrocław 23 - 25 July 2023 during the 23rd mBank New Horizons International Film Festival (20 – 30 July 2023).
