SARAJEVO: Projects from Ukraine/France/Germany, Czech Republic/Slovakia and Romania were awarded at Docu Talents from the East@Sarajevo Film Festival, which was held within the Sarajevo FF’s CineLink Industry Days on 13 August 2023.

WARSAW: In an open letter sent to the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, representatives of the Polish film community are protesting against the statements of Minister of Digitalisation Janusz Cieszyński, who denied in two interviews that his ministry has blocked the adoption of the amendment to the Act on Copyright and Related Rights, which introduces royalties from the Internet for filmmakers.

Film Center Serbia announced the following grants on 4 August 2023.

Kratkometražni dokumentarni film 1001 Noć koji je režirala Rea Rajčić uvršten je u glavni natjecateljski program Kratki rezovi (Short Cuts) 48. Međunarodnog filmskog festivala u Torontu (TIFF) koji se održava 7. – 17. rujna 2023. u Kanadi.

"Audiovisual Women is an extraordinary program that not only provides new insights and skills into the audiovisual industry but also an extensive network of professionals from all over Europe", stated alumna Sacha Gertsik who participated in the first edition in 2022.

VALLETTA: The Malta Film Commission has distributed over 1.54 m EUR for 19 projects within the Creative Malta scheme, which was launched in December 2022. The support went for production, script and project development, as well as for festivals.
