DISCOPRO PROGRAM ANNOUNCED - HIGHLIGHTING VIBRANT CEE CO-PRODUCTION SECTOR AND PRESENTING EXCLUSIVE PITCHING OPPORTUNITY

Krakow, 1st April 2010 - This year's 50th edition of Krakow Film Festival will take place from 31st May to 6th June. The participants of the three competition sections will be known in two weeks' time, while today the organizers announce how the jubilee edition will look like.

The CICAE is about to launch the 7th edition of its European training seminar for professionals working in Arthouse cinemas, which will take place from 30/08/2010 to 08/09/2010, during the next Venice festival.

The ambition of the "Art Cinema = Action + Management" training is to hand-on to professionals the specific know-how (methods, tools, ideas, contacts) for programming, animating and managing a cinema theatre dedicated to the distribution of quality cinema and European films.

The 45th year of the International Festival of Science Documentary Films Academia Film Olomouc (AFO) will take place in Olomouc, Czech Republic, from the 13th to 18th of April, 2010. Following the pattern of the former years, AFO will comprehensibly and innovatively introduce expert and scientific knowledge through audiovisual media. However, AFO is definitely not a closed academic event - it emphasizes plurality of the audience and proves that even educational films and programs can become a thrilling show for all generations.

What is the MEGA PLUS

MEGA PLUS is a nine month POST-GRADUATE COURSE degree in Audiovisual Management. The course will be divided into fourteen weeks of academic training, an internship of six months in a European production or distribution company and a final evaluation week. MEGA PLUS offers training for young professionals of the audiovisual industry wishing to expand their knowledge of all issues related to the management of an audiovisual company. MEGA PLUS also allows participants to understand how to develop, produce and distribute an audiovisual project within the current European audiovisual landscape.
