KRAKOW: Twenty films will compete in the documentary competition of the 54th Krakow Film Festival, which runs 25 May to 1 June 2014.

The Polish black-and-white drama Ida took the the ŠKODA Film Award at goEast film festival on 15 April 2014.

Krakow, 15th April 2014 - Ten feature-length music documentary films qualified for the competition DocFilmMusic at the 54th Krakow Film Festival. This week, the organisers of the festival announce the results of the selection of all four competitions.

The premiere of the Open Frame Award and goEast Development Award in conjunction with the newly initiated programme for young filmmakers, the East-West Talent Lab.
For the eighth and final time the Film Prize for International Cooperation of the Robert Bosch Stiftung was granted.

For the seventh time, documentary rivals from various corners of Europe meet in the imaginary competition ring. Their goal is clear; to become a winner of Doc Alliance Selection Award 2014. However, the shortlisting among the nominees already is a small victory for all of them. Why? Because the journey to 7 key European documentary festivals associated within Doc Alliance has just started.

The Lithuanian film centre announced the final list of projects that received national funding for 2014. A total of 2 082 368 EUR was distributed among 40 project. 1.878.042 EUR was distributed among 23 production projects: 8 feature films, 1 short film, 7 documentaries, 2 short documentaries and 5 short animations. 204.326 EUR went to 17 development projects.

The „Boyhood” experiment will be screened as closing film at the 13th edition of Transilvania IFF.

VILNIUS: The Lithuanian Film Centre will distribute 2,082,368 EUR to 40 projects in 2014.
