Krakow, 24th February 2017 - Krakow Film Foundation Programme Council decided to celebrate this year’s 70th anniversary of Polish animation by unprecedented tribute to two outstanding veterans of this genre: Witold Giersz and Daniel Szczechura. It is 20th edition of Dragon of Dragons award which is granted for significant influence on the development of the world cinema.

The association of European Film Agency Directors (EFADs) would like to praise Hrvoje Hribar’s contribution to Croatian and European film, and to the EFADs, following his decision to step down as Director of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) on 6 February in light of recent events.

LONDON: Film and Music Entertainment (F&ME) has 12 features looking to be completed by the end of 2017. The London-based production house announced that How To Sell a War by Rudolph Herzog is to begin shooting in Georgia in the late spring/early summer 2017.

DUBROVNIK: The mayor of Dubrovnik Andro Vlahusic has said that the negotiations to shoot the 25th film in the James Bond franchise in the Croatian town are in an advanced stage, according to reports in local media.

BUCHAREST: Sixteen projects, including ones from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania and Poland, have been selected for the first edition of Less Is More. Romania's Asociatia Culturala Control N and Transilvania IFF and Poland's Krakow Festival Office are the CEE partners of this European script development platform.
