BUDAPEST: More than 400 buyers from linear TV channels, streaming platforms and distribution companies are expected at NATPE Budapest 2023. This year, the most prominent global TV market focused on the CEE and EMEA regions will be held at the InterContinental Budapest 19 – 22 June.

ŽILINA: The 16th edition of Fest Anča International Animation Festival will screen almost 230 films, of which 33 are in the main competition. The festival will be held in Žilina, Slovakia, 29 June – 2 July 2023. This year, nearly 1,400 films from 73 countries were submitted to the festival.

The official selection presents the best and most original of contemporary domestic and international animation, featuring films by renowned filmmakers as well as young emerging talents.

STRASBOURG: Fourteen projects produced or coproduced by FNE partner countries are among the 32 projects receiving coproduction support from Eurimages, whose last results were announced on 3 April 2023.

PRAGUE: The Danish/French/Polish coproduction Apolonia, Apolonia directed by Lea Glob received the International Competition Jury Award for Best Film at the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival One World, which wrapped in Prague on 30 March and in 28 other towns across the Czech Republic on 2 April 2023.

PRAGUE: The French/USA coproduction I Made a Mistake Coming Here by Kseniya Halubovich received the main award at the East Doc Platform. The largest coproduction, funding and distribution platform for Central and Eastern European documentaries was held in Prague 24 -30 March 2023.

TALLINN: Estonia’s coalition parties (the Reform Party, Estonia 200 and the Social Democrats) have agreed to tax streaming platforms and to invest the funds generated by the tax into Estonian film production.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The 22nd Transilvania IFF has extended the deadline for submissions for its 10th international coproduction programme Transilvania Pitch Stop till 6 April 2023.

KVIFF Eastern Promises, the festival's Industry section, has just opened its submissions for the Works in Progress showcase and First Cut Lab workshop. The selected projects will be invited to participate in this year's KVIFF Eastern Promises Industry Days which will take place during this year's Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
