TBILISI: The Georgian National Film Center distributed 393,333 EUR / 1,180,000 GEL for the production of four international coproductions directed by Zaza Khalvashi, Giorgi Ovashvili, Rusudan Glurjidze and Aleksandre Koberidze.
TBILISI: Georgian director Giorgi Mrevlishvili has begun postproduction on Twelve Lessons, a feature length documentary that he's filming in Georgia. He has previously made My Wonderful Mother produced by Jeremy Gaskill.
TBILISI: Georgian director David Gurgulia is in postproduction with And the Others, a long documentary that he's shot in Georgia since 2017. Gurgulia previously made the short feature film Dialect (produced by Giorgi Tetiashvili), which had its International Premiere as part of European Film Promotion’s Future Frames, at the 2018 edition of Karlovy Vary.

Georgia had a great year with more awards at international festivals and more attention given to Georgian films. Georgian cinema days were held in Chicago, London and Lithuania and Georgia was a Focus Country at the 2018 Filmkunstfest, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur for Animated Film, the Cottbus Film Festival, the Encounters Film Festival in Bristol and at Filmfest Dresden.
TBILISI: Georgian director Vakhtang Kuntsev-Gabashvili is in production with Cinemania.MSHT-15, a Georgianfull-length documentary shooting in Georgia.
