WARSAW: Polish cinemas registered almost 300,000 admissions during the third weekend of September 2020, with two local titles at the top of the Polish box office.
WARSAW: Beta Film will manage the international sales for Triple Trouble, a sequel to the Polish hit feature for children Double Trouble, directed by Marta Karwowska.

WARSAW: Bartosz Blaschke has begun shooting his debut film Sonata, the true story of a 14-year-old who is diagnosed with hearing loss, not autism as previously assumed, and discovers he has musical talent. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
WARSAW: A draft amendment to the Polish cinema law would require TV broadcasters and VOD service providers registered in other EU countries to pay 1.5 percent on revenues generated in Poland to the Polish Film Institute. The levy already introduced as a temporary measure in July 2020 as part of the government’s COVID anti-crisis shield would become a permanent law.
WARSAW: Munk Studio SFP and CANAL + Polska will begin filming four feature films in the autumn of 2020 as part of the "60 Minutes" Programme.
WARSAW: Bartosz Kruhlik’s debut feature Supernova was released theatrically in UK, Germany and Norway by Kino Project on 21 August 2020. The Polish IKH Pictures Promotion is managing the international sales.
WARSAW: Polish director Bartosz Prokopowicz has started postproduction on his new project, the romantic comedy Happiness Comes in Pairs / Szczęścia chodzą parami. The director is best known for his drama Chemo produced by Filmokracja in 2015 which achieved international recognition.
WARSAW: The shooting of the feature film Treasure / Skarbek, directed by Tomasz Jurkiewicz has just wrapped. This adventure film for children and young viewers is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
WARSAW: The BreakThru Films animation studio, known for Loving Vincent and Peter and the Wolf, is starting the shooting for a new project The Peasants directed by Dorota Kobiela, based on the novel by Nobel prize winner Władysław Stanisław Reymont.
