GDYNIA: Borys Lankosz’s Dark, Almost Night, based on a bestselling fantasy crime novel by Joanna Bator, will screen in the main competition of the 44th Gdynia Film Festival, running from 16 to 21 September 2019.

GDYNIA: Jacek Borcuch’s drama Dolce Fine Giornata will screen in the main competition of the 44th Gdynia Film Festival, running from 16 to 21 September 2019. The film won the best actress award for Krystyna Janda at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

GDYNIA: Polish director Jan Komasa’s costume drama Corpus Christi will screen in the main competition of the 44th Gdynia Film Festival, running from 16 to 21 September 2019, after its international premiere at the 76th Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Europa Cinemas Label and the Edipo Re Inclusive Awards in the Venice Days independent section.

WARSAW: Nominations for the 12th edition of the Polish Film Institute (PISF) awards were announced on 3 September 2019. The gala will take place during the 44th Gdynia Film Festival.

WARSAW: Maciej Bochniak is currently shooting Magnesia. The feature film produced by Aurum Film will be a mix of a detective story, comedy and western. The music will be composed by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, who won an Academy Award for Marc Foster’s Finding Neverland (2004).
