WARSAW: Maciej Dejczer is shooting a sequel to Letters To Santa, a romantic comedy that sold 2.3m tickets in 2011.

WARSAW: Ostatnia Rodzina/Last Family, Jan P. Matuszyński’s debut feature will focus on the relationship between the painter Zdzisław Beksiński and his son Tomasz Beksiński, a renowned music journalist and translator, who both passed away tragically.

WARSAW: Renowned Polish director Agnieszka Holland is preparing to shoot Game Count, a Polish/Czech/German coproduction, in June. The premiere is planned for the begining of 2017.

WARSAW: Tomasz Wasilewski, the director of Floating Skyscrapers produced by Alter Ego Pictures, started shooting his new drama United States of Love.

WARSAW: Łukasz Żal, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography in Ida (Opus Film), is theDoP of Na granicy/On the Border, the debut feature of an experienced documentary filmmaker Wojciech Kasperski.

PRAGUE: Ivan Fíla, a Czech-born director partly based in Germany, is preparing his third feature film, The Day of Happiness.

VILNIUS: Spanish writer and director Daniela Féjerman is shooting her new feature The Wait/La Espera in Lithuania.

BRATISLAVA: Heart of a Tower/Srdce veže by director and animator Peter Budinský, will be the first Slovak animated feature film after 33 years. Its premiere is set for 2020.

WARSAW: Shooting has started for Filip Bajon's new version of the classic Polish comedy Mrs. Dulska's Morality. The premiere is planned for October 2015.

TALLINN: Estonian writer/director Anu Aun is working on The Polar Boy, the tale of a talented and promising young photographer who fakes bipolar disorder in order to avoid a prison sentence and discovers he must leave his destructive girlfriend.

TALLLINN: Latvian director Janis Nords is writing Survivalist, a drama of a schoolmaster who fakes his own death to escape mounting personal and financial pressures.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak writer/director Martin Repka is completing the third draft of the Slovak/Czech film The Tatooist with cowriter Agda Bavi Pain as the film prepares to move into the financing phase in 2015.

TALLINN: Estonian director Ain Maeots is developing The Flame Race: 1980, a comedy on the saga of the transport of the Olympic flame from Moscow to Tallinn.

TALLINN: Polish advertising and marketing company ADHD Warsaw continues its move into film production with The Wounded Beast directed by Piotr Trzaskalski. 

TALLINN: Algimants Puipa has completed filming on the Lithuanian drama The Garden of Eden.

TALLINN: Director Viestur Kairish takes on the topic of the deportation of 40,000 Baltic citizens to Siberia in 1941 in the drama Chronicles of Melanie, planned for completion in 2015.
