PODGORICA: Slovenian director Nina Tratnik has wrapped shooting on her debut feature Fires / Pozari on 14 November 2025. The producer and coproducers of this Montenegrin/Albanian/Serbian coproduction are all women, starting with Bojana Radulović of Montenegrin Code Blue Production.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Goran Dević is in postproduction with his long documentary New Life / Novi život. This is his 13th film which he is making with producer Hrvoje Osvadić of 15th Art Production. Their most recent film, Pavilion 6 (2024), has been the first Croatian film ever acquired by the BBC.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian director Dániel Füzes is currently shooting his debut feature Switched Stance / Ellentétes alapállás, which is backed by the National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) through its Incubator Programme.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Laura Pascu's feature film Between Us / Među nama has been completed and is awaiting its premiere. The film was backed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC).

VILNIUS: The national premiere of Lithuanian director/writer Andrius Žemaitis’s debut feature Tabasco will take place on 14 November 2025 in the competition programme of the Scanorama Film Festival (6 – 23 November 2025).

SOFIA: Director Olga Koleva, in collaboration with screenwriters Nevena Kertova and Georgi Ivanov, is developing her debut feature project Garden Alley, produced by Geopoly.

PODGORICA: Montenegrin director/writer Andrija Mugoša will present his debut feature drama Happiness Is Just a Blue Couch Away / Pu Spas Za Sve Nas, backed by the Film Centre of Montenegro, at the upcoming Work in Progress - Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event 2025.

LJUBLJANA: Andrina Mračnikar has started shooting her sophomore feature Mila/Marija, a Slovenian/Austrian/Greek drama with a budget estimated at 4.6 m EUR.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Arsen Anton Ostojić is currently in final production and postproduction with what he calls “one of the most demanding and expensive film projects in the region”. His 3.5 m EUR 3D long animated film The Crystal Planet / Kristalni planet, a coproduction between the Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovakia, is backed by the respective national film bodies.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Predrag Ličina is currently in production with his sophomore feature The Virus of Pathological Kindness / Virus patološke dobrote, a Serbian/Croatian joint supported by the respective national film centres. Its premiere is already set for the World Kindness Day - 13 November, in 2026.

BURGAS: Producer and journalist Sevda Shishmanova has started shooting her debut feature, Remains of Life. The filming of this Bulgarian/German joint is taking place in Bulgaria and Israel.

LJUBLJANA: Slovenian director Janez Burger has started shooting his seventh feature film One Month / En mesec on 23 September 2025. The 33-days shooting of this Slovenian/Croatian/Italian coproduction is taking place in Ljubljana, Kamnik, Solkan and at the FS Viba Film studio.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Ivana Škrabalo is currently in postproduction with her feature film Five Days at the Sea / Pet dana na moru, a coproduction between Croatia, Slovenia and North Macedonia.

ZAGREB: The acclaimed Croatian director Zvonimir Jurić is currently in postproduction with Small Things / Male stvari, a feature coproduction between Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia. It’s one of the 27 projects selected from over 240 applications for the 8th European Work in Progress (EWIP), which is held for the first time in Hamburg 29 September - 1 October 2025.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Miroslav Terzić is presently in postproduction with his third feature film Who Are We / Ko smo mi (aka The Excursion / Ekskuzija), which is a coproduction of Serbia, Luxembourg, Italy, Bulgaria and Croatia.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Mate Ugrin is currently in postproduction with Petty Thieves / Sitni Iopovi. The film is a coming-of-age story involving producers from Croatia, France, Germany, and Serbia.
