RIGA: Latvian director Kristaps Brize is currently in postproduction with his debut feature Banana Boat / Banāns Upē, which has been picked up by the French/UK sales agent Alief during Berlinale’s European Film Market 2024.

PODGORICA: Nikola Mijović’s feature Four Funerals and a Wedding / Četiri sahrane i vjenčanje, which already received development and production support from the Film Centre of Montenegro (FCCG), is conceived so far as a Montenegrin/Serbian/Macedonian coproduction.

RIGA: Latvian director, writer and producer Juris Poškus is currently in production with his feature film Call Me Calendar / Kalendārs mani sauc. The project has already received support from the National Film Centre of Latvia and the Lithuanian Film Centre.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian director/writer Mihály Schwechtje is currently in postproduction with his feature film A Hunt for Hedgehogs / Sünvadászat, which is an independent, 100% Hungarian coproduction.

LJUBLJANA: Slovenian director Luka Marčetić, whose At Hostar (2016) is still the most viewed feature film in Slovenian history, started shooting his third feature Girl of the Night / Dekle noči in Škofja Loka on 24 February 2024. The 30-days shooting of this absurd black comedy will also take place in Ljubljana in the following weeks.

BRATISLAVA: Katarína Gramatová’s debut feature Promise, I'll Be Fine is scheduled to be finished in the late spring of 2024. The film was developed by Gramatová and Slovak producer Igor Engler from DRYEYE Film and it is a Slovak/Czech coproduction.

BRATISLAVA: Successful Slovak documentary filmmakers Lucia Kašová, Barbora Sliepková and Viera Čákanyová are in mid-production with Wasteland Chronicles / Zóny nikoho, a dystopian documentary exploring three Slovak ecological disasters: the tar dump in the village of Predajná and the pollution caused by chemical factories on the eastern border of Slovakia and in Bratislava.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian directors Dr. Tamás Kollarik PhD, Dr. Sándor Takó and Ádám Tősér are currently in production with their long documentary Fox vs Zukor - The Hollywood Story. The film is based on unseen archives, photos and untold stories, which Tamás Kollarik and Sándor Takó have researched in the last five years in more than seven countries.

VILNIUS:  The Lithuanian animation film director/writer/painter Urtė Oettinger is currently in preparation with her 26 episode x 11 minute comedy animation series BFF, whose production will start in the second half of 2024.

SOFIA: Bulgarian director/producer Dimitar Kotzev is in preproduction with his fourth feature film For You, whose shooting will start on 7 May 2024. The Bulgarian National Film Center is supporting the project.

LJUBLJANA: Slovenian director Dejan Babosek has finished his fourth feature Hole / Jama. This mix of a black comedy, crime story, western and horror film is the first feature film in ex-Yugoslavia to be released in cinemas in Dolby Atmos technology. The film will be released in Slovenian Cinemas on 22 February 2024 by Fivia.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian director/writer/cinematographer Laurynas Bareisa is currently in postproduction with his sophomore feature Drowning Dry (working title), which is a coproduction between Lithuania and Latvia.

BUCHAREST: Writer/director Ioana Mischie (Fulbright Alumna, Berlinale Talents Alumna, Sundance Capalbio Alumna) is currently in postproduction with Government of Children II, a pioneering transmedia documentary inviting children to redesign their societies for the long-term.

TALLINN: The Estonian director/writer Aljona Surzhikova is in production with her current affairs documentary Burn Pit, which explores post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in military and civilian veterans from Estonia, Ukraine and Norway.

RIGA: Latvian director/writer Juris Kursietis is currently in postproduction with his feature film Blue Blood / Zilās asinis, a coproduction between Latvia, Estonia and Greece.

BRATISLAVA: Jan Sebechlebský has just started shooting the historical family road film Secret Delivery / Tichá pošta. The film is a production between Czech´s 8Heads Productions and Slovak´s ARINA FILM, in coproduction with the Czech Television, the Radio and Television Slovakia, Barrandov Studio and Moss & Roy.
