VALLETTA: The Maltese government is ready to pay out 50 m EUR for incentives to international productions in 2023, although it had budgeted only 11 m EUR, according to the local media quoting the prospective Nationalist MEP candidate Peter Agius.

LJUBLJANA: A total of 28 titles were selected for the Main Competition of the 19th edition of Animateka Animated International Film Festival, which takes place in Ljubljana 28 November – 4 December 2022.

TALLINN: The 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), which is running till 27 November 2022, has announced that Sarah Polley and Ali Abbasi will receive the DDA SPOTLIGHT AWARD. The TV Beats Co-Financing Market also announced its awards on 23 November 2022.

Yesterday the winners of the TV Beats Co-Financing Market, organised for the 2nd year, were announced. The jury selected the Portuguese drama project Finisterra as the most promising project receiving a 3000 euro monetary prize presented by Elisa.
