BUCHAREST: Paul Negoescu is currently filming a sequel to his domestic BO hit Two Lottery Tickets / Două lozuri. Produced again independently by Actoriedefilm.ro, Three Lottery Tickets / Trei lozuri (working title) has its premiere loosely set for the autumn of 2023.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian Government has approved a memorandum of the Ministry of Culture for allotting approximately 28 m EUR / 140 m RON to the cultural independent sector, including cinema, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

VILNIUS: The European Film Forum Scanorama has replaced its regional short film competition New Baltic Cinema with the Glimpses of Europe short film competition, which will screen new talents from all over Europe from 17 to 19 November 2022.

JIHLAVA: Sixteen European projects in development, production and postproduction have been selected for the 2nd edition of the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum. The event will be held 27-28 October 2022 as part of the 26th Ji.hlava IDFF.
