BUDAPEST: Hungarian director Ádám Breier is currently shooting his debut feature, the bittersweet dramedy The Lefkovices are Mourning / Lefkovicsék gyászolnak, made in the Incubator Programme of the National Film Institute – Hungary.
The Lithuanian Film Centre announced the following production grants on 27 July 2022.
SARAJEVO: Nine Central and Eastern European documentaries in postproduction will be showcased at the Docu Talents from the East 2022 within the CineLink Industry Days on 15 August 2022.

TALLINN: Estonian government has decided to increase Film Estonia’s support by 3.4 m EUR in 2022, which will increase the total funding for the cash rebate scheme in 2022 to 5.4 m EUR.
Lucile Hadzihalilović Retrospective First Time in Slovakia at 17th Cinematik IFF
Slovakia 08-08-2022PIESTANY: A retrospective of the French-Bosnian director, screenwriter and producer Lucile Hadžihalilović will be presented for the first time to Slovak audiences at the 17th edition of the Cinematik International Film Festival in Piešťany.
VALLETTA: Film enthusiasts are invited to take part in the first edition of the Frantic Film Challenge Competition in Malta. The winning film will be screened at the opening of the Gozo Film Festival (19 – 21 August 2022).
BRATISLAVA: Tereza Nvotovà’s second feature film Nightsiren / Svetlonoc had been acquired by Rome-based sales agent Intramovies ahead of its world premiere in the Cineasti del Presente competition of the 75th edition of the Locarno Film Festival (3 – 13 August 2022).
PRAGUE: The Sky Original Drama Munich Games created by Michal Aviram and directed by Philipp Kadelbach will be released on Sky Atlantic and NOW in September 2022. The project received funding from the Czech Film Fund.
TALLINN: The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, whose 26th edition will be held 11 – 27 November 2022, will launch this year a new competition programme, Critics’ Picks. The programming team of the new section is headed by Nikolaj Nikitin, head of SOFA School of Film Advancement.
